FLEXCON 2025 in Brussels

MENALINKS showcased opportunities at FLEXCON 2025 in Brussels

From 24–25 September 2025, the MENALINKS programme participated in FLEXCON 2025, Europe’s leading conference on demand-side flexibility, held at Maison de la Poste in Brussels. The event convened over 750 experts, innovators, and decision-makers from the energy, mobility, and digital sectors to explore the future of smart energy systems.

FLEXCON has established itself as a platform for advancing the clean energy transition, offering two days of high-level panels, technical sessions, and networking opportunities. This year’s edition featured several expert presentations and panels focused on topics such as scalability and standards for flexibility solutions, optimising cost pathways, demand response management, and flexible industrial energy management.

MENALINKS hosted a dedicated booth in the networking area to present emerging business and partnership opportunities from its country workstreams. These include:

1.         Industrial flexibility in Jordan

2.        Smart mini-grid development in Egypt

3.        Battery energy storage solutions in Tunisia

4.       Urban smart grids and demand aggregation in Morrocco

5.        Smart metering and inertia provision strategies in Türkiye

The booth served as a platform to engage with stakeholders, share insights from regional implementation, and foster new partnerships. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about MENALINKS’ integrated approach to renewable energy deployment, sector coupling, and grid modernization across the MENA region.

MENALINKS’ presence at FLEXCON 2025 reflected its commitment to fostering dialogue between European and MENA stakeholders, promoting scalable solutions, and contributing to a resilient and decarbonized energy future.
