Egypt has adopted smart mini‑grids regulations!

We’re thrilled to announce the official release of the Periodic Book on Smart Mini-Grids Regulations in Egypt. This achievement marks a significant step forward in shaping a robust regulatory framework for smart mini-grids and fostering private sector participation. 

 Co‑developed by the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy (MoERE), the Egyptian Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency (EgyptERA) and supported by MENALINKS, the framework enables private‑to‑private investments and deployment across commercial/industrial/tourism clusters and remote/border/coastal areas, boosting investor confidence and renewable energy uptake.
