What if hotels in Marrakech became key players in Morocco’s electricity flexibility?
As part of the MENALINKS programme, we are launching a pilot project dedicated to integrating an intelligent energy management system for the hotel sector.
Objective: Our technology partner Voltalis will test, with three hotels in Marrakech, how connected buildings can better monitor their consumption, control certain electrical loads - particularly HVAC - and prepare for future grid flexibility mechanisms.
The pilot is based on a light-touch, non-intrusive approach:
integration with existing BMS / BACnet systems
real-time energy monitoring
secure connectivity
operational testing without any impact on guest comfort
no major investment required from participating hotels
This project is a first step towards smarter, more visible buildings that are better prepared for the energy needs of 2030.
