CWEEL Tunisia
CWEEL's mission is to support career development for professional women, mentoring, networking, and scholarships to pursue technical education and careers in the energy and environmental fields.

Short Description

CWEEL Tunisia is the Tunisian chapter of the Council on Women in Energy & Environmental Leadership, established under the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). Since its creation in 2018, our community has brought together a growing network of women professionals and male allies committed to advancing female leadership in the energy and environmental sectors.

Our mission is to support and empower women working — or aspiring to work — in the fields of energy, environment, sustainability, and climate. While firmly rooted at the national level, we remain connected to the global CWEEL International network. Our work includes capacity building, professional development, knowledge sharing, and promoting gender balance in highly technical industries.

We collaborate closely with professionals from the public and private sectors, academic institutions, engineering associations, international organizations, and companies across the entire energy and environmental value chain. Our stakeholders also include young graduates and students seeking mentorship and career opportunities.
CWEEL Tunisia is open to women professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, and students, as well as to anyone who supports gender diversity in the energy and environmental fields — regardless of academic background. Anyone in Tunisia who wishes to contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable energy future is welcome to join us.
