Maria has a bachelor degree in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering from a top university in engineering in Jordan and graduated with a very good GPA of 3.34 out of 4.00. She was also the head of the AEE Chapter in Al al-Bayt University for a year, managing a steering committee team of 3 driving activities of workshops and training courses in the field of sustainable energy and renewable energy systems design.

She took different courses in the energy field with focus on renewable energy projects design, energy management and engineering economics, she also led a research project on renewable energy that included prototype.

In addition, she had an internship at Jordan Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund, in which she participated in supervising the implementation of energy audits supported by JREEEF, in evaluating the technical proposals submitted for conducting the energy audits and those submitted for the implementation of renewable energy projects supported by JREEEF as well.

She currently works as a volunteer within the Fund to gain a new experience with focus on energy efficiency for the industrial sector and strives to obtain professional certificates relevant to energy efficiency and energy management such as CEM.

She is now working with JREEEF on a one-year contract, contributing to various initiatives aimed at advancing sustainable energy practices in Jordan.
